Marinos Zinonos

Peer-to-peer messaging application built for crisis zones over a two-day hackathon. Mercury connects devices directly through Bluetooth Low Energy mesh networking, so communities stay reachable when cell towers fail and provider infrastructure goes down. Users exchange messages, share their location, and drop status markers on an integrated offline map, covering fire fronts, closed roads, water stations, and requests for medical support.

Sentiment analysis tool that flags when a financial trade is driven by emotion rather than analysis. Bio-sensor input, heart rate from a smartwatch against a resting baseline, plus facial expressions from a webcam, is scored and the trader is warned before they commit to a harmful trade. The use case demanded near real-time feedback, so the pipeline was optimised down to an average response under five seconds. Personal data expires and is deleted after one hour by design.
